Hello,

The device starts up with forced diode emulation. Why? Is it for Vout pre-biased start up?

    Hi Oguri-san,

    yes, there is also a second reason. If the device would do a restart or starts up when the output voltage is already there, it would push energy from the output to the input due to the start up circuit which tries to ramp up the output slowly.
