DRV104: Connecting sync pins

Hello, I'm using 2 DRV104 and would like to sync them. So I will leave the master pin open on the master and ground the master pin on the slaves. Are the sync pins a direct connection between the DRV104 or should I put a resister between them (example 1k)?
