TPS1HC100-Q1: Continuous load current 2A or 2.5A?

Hi team

Could you help me understand the "Continuous load current" spec?

EC table give a typical value of 2A but D/S first page give a 2.5A description. May I know your comments to this?

    Hi Shawn,

    The rating in the electrical characteristics table is to show the typical continuous current that can flow through the device at the specified test condition. Do note this condition is based off a 2s2p board. More current can be supported based on ambient temperature and the heat sinking capability of the board. The true limitation is if in DC operation, the device will hit thermal shutdown.
