Hi team,

My customer uses bq25890H+bq25601 as dual charger scheme, when charge done, set BQ25601 disable charge (reg01 bit4 set 0), power consumption (line current) is 30mA. if set the BQ25601 hiz mode to disable charge, power consumption (line current) is 15mA (Power consumption is normal), 15mA less than set reg01 bit4.

Please help the internal mechanism of the disable charge (reg01 bit4 set 0).Why is there an effect on current on the wire after only set the disable charge, which affects the EU energy efficiency certification.

When disabling charge with reg01 bit4 set 0, the charger still switches to support VSYS power

When the device is in HIZ, REGN LDO is off and the charger does not switch. And the battery supports VSYS if valid VBAT is present.

Lillian,

The Isysload spec is not related to charge disable. It is for System Overvoltage Protection. Please refer to 8.3.10.1.1.2 System Overvoltage Protection (SYSOVP) on the d/s for the details.

The specs below on the d/s provide the typical input supply current in buck mode when no SYS load and no charging.
