Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EV2400, BQSTUDIO
Hi TI Team,
I'm assembled our custom BMS PCBs, that include a BQ40Z80. Previously I had an issue where the chip was not able to communicate with an EV2400 module, but now I had sucesfully managed to connect to the BMS through SMBus.
When I used the toggle dsg Fet command within the Battery managment studio, it did toggle the discharge mosfet and I could see correct voltage and power a small circuit though it.
What I'm having questions about is, why is the dischrage MOSFET not on at start. Is it like this by default? Is this where I need to start working on a 'golden image', setting up all the parameters etc and program it into the BQ40Z80?
Kind regards,
Patryk Szczesny.
