LMR36503: SPICE simulation doesn't work

Part Number: LMR36503

Hello,

I have the same problem as other users, the simulation takes forever (I actually never see the end of it).

I have change the run time to 1m, the Gmin to 1e-007 and the maximum timestep to 10u but it doesn't change anything.

Is there a problem in the model?

Best regards

Aurélie Duval

  • Hello Aurélie,

Which schematic are you running and did you make any edits to it?

The startup and steady state schematics often don't take too long with modern PCs.

  • When I stimulate the example which can be downloaded on TI website:

    - BUCK_STARTUP

    - BUCK_STEADY_STATE

    - IBB_STARTUP

    - IBB_STEADY_STATE

It works but I need to custom them. A lot (line and load variation). So I wanted to start a schematic from 0 but it doesn't work.

I also wanted to do it on LTspice rather than on Pspice.

    Best regards,

    Aurélie

  • Hello Aurelie,

I think we would be better off trying to get bench data for line/load reg. On the additional e2e post you have which I replied to, I mentioned that I was going to see if a colleague can obtain this data for us. I would recommend waiting to see if that data I am working to get will fulfill your needs.

I think you will have a challenging time getting the encrypted spice model to work in LTSPICE.
