Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24250, TPS25947, TPS22933
I am designing a solar charger board with two inputs (Solar panel and USB). When USB cable is plugged in, the battery should charge from USB input otherwise from the Solar panel.
Solar panel input max voltage is around 9V (peak power point is 6.5V). USB input will be around 5V. The user should be able to plug in the USB cable any time to charge the battery
from USB irrespective of whether the solar panel is plugged in or not and if plugged in, producing power or not. Once the USB power is disconnected, the solar panel should charge the
battery whenever solar power is available.
I wanted to use the TSP2121 to switch between the two power supplies with USB at higher priority while using the TPS2121's "ST" pin to inform a microcontroller of the selected power source so that
the micro can configure the BQ24250 accordingly.
When charging from the panel, I want the BQ24250 to maintain the solar panel at the peak power point (6.5V). Charging current could go up to 1.5A.
Unfortunately, the TSP2121 is not in stock. Do you have any alternative part which can do the same thing ?
