I am planning on using the BQ28Z fuel gauge for a product I will be going to market with early 2023. I have purchased the BQ28Z610EVM-532 evaluation module for code bring up and testing. I am using two 4.2V 10050 mAh li-Po batteries (https://www.adafruit.com/product/5035). Each of the batteries are properly balanced from the factory and have their own battery protection circuits. Is it possible to use this fuel gauge with these 2 batteries in a parallel configuration? If so, what would the recommended solution look like? would the negatives of both cells be connected to 1N and the one battery per 1P and 2P? or since both batteries have protection circuits can I connect them both t0 1N and 1P and then short 1P to 2P?
We also need help understanding why when I pull OperationStatus() (from the screenshot), bits 8&9 do not match 13 & 14. SEC0 is the same but SEC1 is not
