Could you please help us with the function of Q5 that is in the typical application of the BQ20Z655-R1 datasheet?

Hello Angelos,

This is for protection in case there is a reverse connection on the PACK+ and PACK- nodes. Q5 FET will keep the Q4 FET turned off by shorting the gate to source.
