Hello Team,

I have a single string of 86 RGB diodes.

I was thinking the LP5891 could address it by using the 16 RGB channels and 6 lines.

By each refresh of the line, does the current source gets updates as as well?

I want to understand if the refresh enables me to consider the 86 RGB leds like "independent" ones, that I can configure individually.

Would you propose other solutions to address the 86 RGB channels

Hi Sunset,

With LP5891, you can configure and control every LED of your 86 RGB LEDs individually.

If you are going to drive 86 LEDs, then LP5890 should be enough, unless you want to use the intelligent power saving mode of LP5891.

Supplement (for those who will see this thread later):

Another advantage of LP5891 is that it has a version, LP5891MRRFR, that supports –55°C to approximately 125°C operating ambient temperature.
