TPS22811: Behavior when current limit is changed during operation

You can use PSpice model available on product page for simulation purpose.

You want to change current limit while device is starting up? What is the load at output?

In steady state device does not have current limit feature but during startup it can limit current.

I thought the current limiting feature was also available at startup, but is it not?
The loads are connected in various ways.
The supply is USB.
What I would like to do is to prevent the inrush current at startup with the first setting, and adjust it by changing Rimon to the current value I want to limit during operation.

Hi Ryu,

During startup currrent limiting is there but after startup it is not present in TPS22811. You need to use TPS25981 which have current limiting at all time. Also at startup you can also consider using dvdt pin for inrush current control that is also like limiting current.

Can the TPS25981 actively change the current limit by changing the resistance value during operation?
And can I check the voltage drop in that case with PSpice as well?

The TPS25981 has a current limit range of up to 1.5A. Is it possible to control it at 1A?
I was also thinking of controlling with a minimum of 0.5A, but would that be difficult?
If so, are there any other device candidates?
In steady state, the device is driven by 9V/2.2A.
