TLV700: About Electrical Specification

Part Number: TLV700

Hello Expert,

Our customer is using TLV70025DDCR.

Their using condition is as below.

* Condition

   VIN = 3.3V, VEN = 3.8V > VIN

* Data Sheet

   

If this device is under customer's using condition, could you please give me whether some issue will be happened or not?

Is there no issue?

    Hi Michael,

    The abs max spec for VEN says that VEN cannot exceed VIN by more than 300mV, which implies that the limitation is due to an internal diode. So if VEN > VIN + 300mV, the diode will conduct and there is a potential for damage, so this is not a recommended use-case.
