LP8864S-Q1: BSTOVPL status clear

Hi Team,

We find BSTOVPL_STATUS = '1'h when we power on the LP8864S-Q1. I think the reason is that boost converter reached out to VBOOST_OVPL in the beginning and let the BSTOVPL_STATUS bit pull high. And then boost converter stop switching to reach out our typical voltage setting. Now we are trying to clear the error bit. We followed the datasheet to write [1:0] = '11'h, but useless. May you let me know your comment? Thank you.

Does device work in PWM mode or current mode? also what is the value of the duty cycle?

I want to know the duty cycle when you try to clear the status. Does device work normally or in the light load mode or current sink doesn't work.

Hi Zhiqian,

We found the root cause. We issued the clear CMD during the BSTOVP stage. That's why we can't clear the bit.
