Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the fast respond!
What is the meaning of charger status? Is it possible to check the level of the battery loading, e.g. 80%?
ciao
Hanno
Hi Hanno,
Charger status is whether the battery is still charging or terminated. The charger does not provide a gauging function that reports % full. However, there is an ADC to report instantaneous battery voltage.

Jeff
OK! I assume, that an external MCU could do a rough gauging estimation, by knowing the defined charging current and the charging time by regularly checking the charger status, right?
Thanks and bye
Hanno
Hi Hanno, Jeff,
since I think that question was in regards to a talk we had I maybe should clarify a bit. We want to use a TPS25750 to handle all USB PD communication and to act mostly autonomously. However during runtime, we may want to change charging current and final charging voltage along with activating or deactivating USB Sourcing (powerbank mode). We'd also like to read the battery voltage and current. Is this still possible when using the TPS25750 "in between" MCU an BQ or should we also have a direct connection from MCU to the BQ I2C interface?
Thanks and Regards,
Jonathan
