BQ76952: Problems when turning DSG MOS ON through commands

Part Number: BQ76952

hi,

We found some problems when turing DSG MOS ON through commands in normal mode.

The steps we take as the following:

Step1: send the commands to BQ76952 and then query the DSG MOS state which is OFF.

Step2: send the commands again and then query DSG MOS State which is OFF. Here come the Problems:

Problem1: DSG MOS FET driver voltage rises to high, holdup to 1.5ms and then drop to low.

Problem2: After that, when querying the DSG MOS state from BQ76952 it shows ON, actually the MOS driver voltage is low. And the low voltage lasts for almost 246ms.

We think it should be avoid to have a pulse high voltage, and the DSG MOS state should be OFF until the driver voltage keeps high.

  • Hi David,

Currently, all our employees will be out of office from 11/24 - 11/27 for Thanksgiving break.  Everyone will be back in office Monday, 11/28, and your question will be answered then.  Apologies for any inconvenience!

    Best,

    Andria

  • Hi David,

I am not sure I completely understand the issue. Which command name / command number are you using? It is not clear from the image. Can you let us know the exact sequence and which pin you are observing? Also, can you share your complete register settings?

Is the issue that the DSG pin is taking a long time to be enabled?

    Thanks,

    Matt
