BQ27426: Watchdog issue

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

Is this gauge watchdog on or off by default? Is the watchdog maintained internally by the IC?

And is it required to reinitialize the IC if a watchdog reset occurs?

The watchdog shall be on by default, IC will kick the watchdog before the time expires, when watchdog resets, the device shall reset by itself

The watchdog is fed inside the FuelGauge IC without external device intervention, right?

Will the configured data be lost if a watchdog reset occurs after the FS file is loaded to the FuelGauge IC?

Other register configurations (except Extended Data Commands), will the configured data be lost if a watchdog reset occurs?

As the bq27426 is a ROM device, the configuration data are stored in volatile memory, so a reset would cause the configured data lost

Do FS files need to be reloaded after reset? And is the FS file written directly into the firmware of the bq27426?

The watchdog of the bq27426 is fed by the bq27426, right? Is there any docs for reference?

Yes, the FS files need to be reloaded after reset.

Watchdog is fed by bq27426.

So far no document available regarding the internal watchdog
