Hi,
We are designing prototype for display port application in which we are using TUSB1064RNQT. I want to know connection of superspeed signal SSTXn,SSTXp,SSRXp,SSRXn to USB hub if these signal need to be connected as TUSB1064 SSTXp<->USB Hub TXp,TUSB1064 SSTXn<->USB Hub TXn,TUSB1064 SSRXp<->USB Hub RXp,TUSB1064 SSRXn<->USB Hub RXn or it need to be connected like
TUSB1064 SSTXp<->USB Hub RXp,TUSB1064 SSTXn<->USB Hub RXn,TUSB1064 SSRXp<->USB Hub TXp,TUSB1064 SSRXn<->USB Hub TXn
I want to know if TUSB1064 receive signals need to be connected to USB hub transmit or USB hub receive signal?
Generally superspeed signals when terminated on USB Type C connector are terminated as Chip RX<->Conn RX and Chip TX<->Conn TX but in my application, connection is to be given in between 2 chips. Hence i have confusion how in between chips, connections should be given?
And also is there any terminology/method followed to avoid such receive and transmit signal confusion? If in case TX need to be connected to TX and RX to RX like mentioned in TUSB1064 datasheet then just wondering why this confusion of receive and transmit is added in signal name USB3.0 standard.
