LM5177: LM5177 Cold Cranking

Part Number: LM5177

Hello,

For LM5177 it states that min. input voltage is 3.5V but from the SNVA681A pdf we can see that for the cold cranking it can go down to 3Volts. Does this situation resets? That's why we are planning to use Buck Boost conv.

Best Regards.

  • Hi Gencay,

thank you for using the E2E forum.

Vin,min for the LM5177 goes down to 2.8V if the VBias > 3.5V.

In many cases VBias can be connected to VOUT which is already boosted up. So, during cold crank condition you still can operate.

    Best regards,

     Stefan
