TPS272C45: Clarification about recommended RILIM range

Hi TI team,

Can you please confirm which is the valid recommended RILIM range for the TPS272C45?
There are different numbers shown in the datasheet:

  • Page 22: RILIMx range is between 5kohm to 28.2kohm
  • On page 41, the recommended value is between 5kohm to 40kohm

Can you use the TPS272C45 for 0.5A current limiting (requires ~40kOhm RILIM)?

    Hi KF,

    Sorry for the confusion. The correct range will be 5k to 28.7kohm. You can go higher than 28.7k (as the circuit is not detecting out of range until 80k), but the accuracy is not guaranteed above 28.7k. We will update the datasheet shortly to reflect a consistent range.
