Dear team,

What is the temperature & duration needed to bake for below part?

These are not mentioned in datasheet, please help to advise.

MPN: PTN78000AAZ

Kindly advise any issue if we send for high temperature bake for MPN: PTN78000AAZ.

We will bake in metal tray and bake out within 24 hours.

Our highest baking temperature is 120 degree.

Kindly advise if it is ok to proceed and will it cause the chip damage.

Besides that, do advise MPN: PTN78000AAZ is belongs to which package body.

Hi Jiahui,

I got feedback from the team. You can use Thickness >2.0mm<4.5mm MSL3 as below.

Two reasons: 1. J-STD-033 does not have a table for thickness>4.5mm. But PTN78000AAZ has thickness 9.09mm

2. The IC's on this module are what really need drying, and these are all<<the 4.5mm. The full table in J-STD-033 does have a bake for >17mm for BGA's and stacked die. But this would be overkill. The tallest device on the module is a passive device. This is the inductor and not subject to MSL drying requirements.

Hi Jiahui,

Please have customer follow the IPC-JEDEC- J-STD-033 in table 5 which clearly states the bake condition. We cannot answer your question without complying with the J-STD-033.
