Hi, team!
In the TPS22992 datasheet, the Vin can't exceed the Vbias. But there is little introduction about Vbias. I want to know about this pin function and why the Vin can't exceed the Vbias?
Thanks!

Hello Hale,
VBIAS biases the gate of the internal FET and powers some internal blocks. If VIN > VBIAS it wouldn't have proper behavior and exhibit characteristics outside of datasheet specifications.

Thanks, Kalin!
I am still curious about the reason about VIN <= VBIAS. Can you show the schematic diagram about Vin and Vbias. And give some detail why the Vin must be smaller than Vbias.
Hello Hale,
I cannot share anything beyond what is listed in the datasheet. Just like with any MOSFET- the normal mode of operation is when Vgs > Vds. You can see VIN as Vds and VBIAS as Vgs. Of course there's more to it than this; however, this is the basic concept.
