LP2951: Can other parts in the LP2951 range be used as an alternative when it's used in current source configuration?

Part Number: LP2951

Hi, we are using LP2951CM/NOPB in one of our designs and this part isn't currently available/has a long lead time.

We are using the part in a current source configuration, see attached diagram of our circuit and the image from the datasheet.

Can I use any of the variants of the LP2951 for this circuit?  I've noticed that there is stock of some of the other variants.

The board is generally 5V based but that isn't used as a power supply for the device in this configuration.

    Hey Amanda, 

    I believe other output voltages would work. The R resistor connected to the feedback pin would need to be changed in accordance with the new output voltage to achieve the same load current value.
