BQ25180: battery voltage monitoring capability

Hi all

My customer is working on a new project and they have this question for the BQ25180:

Does this IC have the ability to send the battery voltage to the microcontroller via the I2C bus?

If not: Can you recommend a device with this function ?

Hi Ueli,

The BQ25180 does not have the capability to report the battery voltage back to the microcontroller. If you are looking for a device that can, I'd recommend the BQ25155. It's a very similar device and has an ADC integrated into the charger so you'll get the battery voltage as well as battery current.
