TLV767: Impact if pin 5 left floating?

Hi Team,

One of my customers is planning on qualifying our TLV767 in their design as an alternative. The original part though has the same pinout but has pin 5 as NC. What will be the impact to the performance of the TLV767 if they left pin 5 floating?

    Hi Alfred,

    What package are you looking at on the TLV767?

    DRV

    Leaving GND floating, is not recommended as while the thermal pad is connected to GND there is an impedance between internal GND and it, which can cause errors in both DC and AC operation for the LDO.

    DGN

    There is an internal pullup that will enable the device if left floating

    "This pin has an internal pullup and can be left floating to enable the device or the pin can be connected to the input pin."

    DBV

    By floating output, you will not be able to get regulation from the device.
