UCD9248: How to set the UCD9248 chip by Fusion Power Design Tool?

Hi Lyndon,

Try clicking "clear faults" and seeing if you get any response.

Cycling the enable signal can also often clear this, I would recommend trying that first. Also, can you send your config (.xml) & schematic file?

After executing "clear fault" command, the warning fault still in there (Output_off, POWER_GOOD#).

The board design of us is referred to the VC709 evb of Xilinx. There is 3 UCD9248 chips are used in design, which control the different PTD power modules to supply power to the different power domains of FPGA.  The address of UCD9248 chips are 52h, 53h and 54h, which has been done corrresponding configuration. At present, the debugging is based on UCD9428 chip with address 52h, but there is always a warning message, so the debugging can not proceed.

I have uploaded the .xml files and schematic design files in attachment, pls refer and help to check.

1. I found there are 2 asserted messages. The register of SMBALERT# is asserted in 52d and 53d, but the 54d is not asserted.

2. Because of our design refer to the design of xilinx evb. I have exported .xml/hex file of xilinx evb, and then, imported ..xml/hex file to our design board. But the Fusion tool occurs a falut message "Your current device configuration and design were not modified". Why the falut message occurs?

I don't see anything wrong with the import procedure. Is the UCD9248's NVM being written?

One way you can check if the device has the correct config is by going to Tools->Device/Project configuration compare in the top left. From there, you can select "add project file" & "add attached device" to have Fusion check for any differences. Fusion will catch any & all differences, including many you don't care about (such as instantaneous temperature or input voltage), but you can look through the generated list to see if there are any config differences.

Regarding checking the config, I don't see any obvious issues.
