The tida-00792 design was intended to use pre-charge and pre-discharge with the additional mosfet via pre-discharger.
The pre-discharge mosfet is "turn-off" while the pre-charge output is active. P channel mosfet is used.
To use pre-discharge, we need to change which settings are included in the BQ Studio software in the BQ78350 IC.
