BQ76952: Current calibaration during production

Part Number: BQ76952

Hi,

We use BQ76952 for our battery management system product. During production of say a batch of 100 we are seeing that the current calibration is varying up to +/- 5% from initially calibrated test sample. Is it required to re-calibrate BQ76952 for current every time in production for high accuracy? Our target is to be under +/- 2%.

In some cases, the calibration is off by 10% too. Please suggest.

  • Hi Shyama,

I think the more common approach I see from most users is to do calibration on a fixed number of boards and then use the average calibration value on every board in production. If the sense resistor has good accuracy, the board layout effect should be consistent, so this may give good enough results.

    Best regards,

    Matt
