BQ25570: Without using actual solar cells, Could you tell me how to measure the boost efficiency?

Hi team,

customer want to measure boost efficiency without solar cells, but using electric power source, how to measure boost effciency?

they alread read BQ25570EVM user's guide, and section3, and it needs physical resistor between Vps and Vin. But not sure how much value of R.

please teach me.

If you don't have a source meter, then you can use a regular power supply with output voltage set to solar panel VOC and output current limit set to panel the panel ISC. Then size the resistor R so that V(MPP) = VOC - I(MPP)*R. IMPP is lower than ISC.
