Hi team,

My customer needs assistance.

I would like to use TPS54325, TPS54425 or TPS54525 (they are very similar) to power the FPGA core (voltage about 1V, maximum current 3-4 A). In this case, few hundred uF of bulk capacitance are usually used. The datasheet indicates maximum recommended output filter capacitance of 68uF.
Can I add a bulk capacitance of 200-300 uF without stability issues?

Hi Chong,

It is not recommended to add additional capacitance as it may lead to instability issues as you pointed out. You may need to consider using externally compensated devices or other devices that can handle larger output caps in such cases. For the same input voltage range, you can consider checking out TPS54335/6 or TPS62130.
