Hi Team,

I understand that GUI not updated yet.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/1133736/faq-when-i-configured-the-usb-pd-chg-evm-01-using-the-online-application-customization-tool-the-pd-controller-isn-t-communicating-correctly-with-the-bq25792-fixed

Our customer is having trouble changing the settings freely.

Could you please let me know update timing of New GUI?

We are hurrying greatly.

If you could reply by January 3rd, it would be very helpful.

  • Hi Hide-san,

Because of the holidays, TI E2E design support forum responses may be delayed through Jan. 3. Team is expected to be back on December 28th.
    Thank you for your patience.

    Best regards,

    Rohit Parashar.

  • Hi Hide-san,

The GUI has already been updated to address the issue stated in the FAQ, there are currently no plans to update the GUI for any other changes.

Can you clarify what settings the customer is having trouble with?

    Thanks and Regards,
    Raymond Lin

  • Hi Raymond-san,

According to your comment at the following comment in other E2E thread.

    > 5. Set VRCH to 800mV in Reg 0x0A of BQ25792

    I can’t find Reg 0x0A in version 7.0.4.

So, I understand that I can’t change the setting of VRECHG of BQ25792 through GUI version 7.0.4.

    Is my understanding correct?

If yes, any updates for the GUI?

    Regards,

    Hide

  • Hi Hide-san,

Yes you are correct, VRECHG is not a setting configurable through GUI v7.0.4.

At this time, we do not have any plans to implement VREGCHG setting change through our GUI. The TPS25750 only configures several of the BQ registers (such as battery charging voltage/current, pre-charge current, and charge termination). The remaining registers (such as VRECHG) will need to be modified through other means (pass-through mode, EC, etc.)

    Thanks and Regards,

    Raymond Lin

  • Hi Raymond-san,

Thank you for the information and the special setting of VRECHG.
