I am interested in developing a battery charger for lead-acid/LiFePO4, is BQ24650, suitable for the below requirements

1) Lead Acid, 24V (2 Cell, 12V each), 33AH (charging should be done in 5 hours)

2) Lithium Ion 25.6V, 24 AH battery.

Charging profile: CC-CV.

Please guide me in this regard.

Hi Sai,

Besides the requirements listed, are you looking for a standalone or host controlled charger? What is the input voltage to the charger? What is the max charger current? Are you looking for power path management feature?

i am interested in standalone charger. The input voltage i am looking is Mains (i.e., 230V, 50 Hz), the max charger current is 6-7 Amps. Yes if power path management is available it will be great.

Hi Sai,

Then BQ24650 should be the device of you interest. However, the maximum input voltage allowed of this device (BQ24650) is 33V so you would need an additional step down implemented before the input of this device.
