TPS23861: Does TPS23861 support FirmPSE?

Dear team,

We would like to develop 4 port PSE with power management function. In TPS23882B device datasheet, looks like FirmPSE cannot support TPS23861.

For this application( 4 ports at with PM), did we need to use TPS23881/2? or we can use TPS23861.

    What is the power level for each port? Is there need for autonomous mode (no host controller) or only power management function?

    You are correct, TPS23861 is not supported by FirmPSE. TPS23861 allows for semi-auto mode to configure port management settings, however there is not autonomy to this as this is controlled by host.
