BQ34Z100-G1: V_REGIN

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1

Hi Team,

I have questions related to V_REGIN, according to datasheet, FLASH writing needs a higher V_REGIN, is it because of the power consumption requirement for FLASH writes?

Besides, what will happen if V_REGIN falls between 4.5V and 5.5V? Can user do the FLASH writes when V_REGIN is above 4.5V(but below 5.5V)?

Regards,

Charles

  • Hello Charles,

The recommended operating conditions have a max of 4.5V. Flash writes will work above 4.5V but such voltages can be close to absolute max and therefore should be avoided.

Between 2.45 and 2.7V, flash writes cannot function. We recommend configuring the gauge settings so that terminate voltage is greater than 2.7V
