We are using LM5176 IC in order to supply TAS5768 power amplifier. We made the design in order it can be operated at 15,3V output levels.
Our input may be in a range 11 to 14 Volts and 24 to 27 Volts and unwanted level of 7-7.5Volts. So our amplifier design with LM5176 must
handle all above input source cases.
11 to 14 Volts and 24 to 27 Volts input source is OK. It works as expected. I can draw more than 5A current at 15.3V output. However, with 7V-7.5V input supply, I can draw no more than 1.9A continuous current at 15,3V output. I would expect to get at least 4-5A current at 7V input as well.
Attached is our design. What is wrong with it? Waiting your recommendation if any. Thanks a lot.
Hi Burhan,
It seems OCP is triggered at low input voltage. Have you observed some waveforms (inductor current, etc.) at 7V input?
