Does TLC5941EVM-105 and TLC5916EVM Exist?

Customer needs to evaluate the TLC5941 and TLC5916, but I see a User's Manual for the TLC5941EVM, but the P/N doesn't come up in the eStore. TI's website doesn't show an EVM available for the TLC5916. Do both of the EVM exist, but just not available through eStore any longer? I have ordered the TLC5941 in the past. Maybe there is a superset part.

The EVMs for the signage products are obsolete, but there might be some boards still available.

THanks. Next question from my customer will be the devices be obsoleted? Were the EVM just too costly? This would be for a automotive application, so product longevity is important. There are -Q1 version of these parts.

Hello Scott,

The devices are not planned to become obsolete as far as I know. The EVMs have not been requested very often because most customers gnerate their own board with their own controller to drive these parts.

Please use the PIC to discuss the -Q1 version because I do not know the details of the Q100 specification.

The TLC5916 EVM was never available on-line. We are building a TLC5916 EVM for you now. I will work with Brigitte to get it shipped to you.
