Hi,
We have implemented following circuit in our board. The actual current drawn from the input is 60mA at 48V when the output is 14.75V and 2mA. Is the current drawn from the input is supposed to be this high?

Hi Sankalp,
Yes, it sounds a bit high, most likely due to inductor core loss (maybe related to high inductor ripple current). Also, check the FET Qg.
What's the rated output current here? If it's relatively low, less than 5A, consider a converter (with integrated FETs).

Hi, the inductor current ripple 1.7A at full load of 7A(rated putput current) and FET Qg is 59 nC.
Try lower QG FETs - that will help for sure. Let me know if you need FET recommendations.
