Hi Team,

What type is the EN input of ATPS7A7001DDA? If MCU is used to control EN, does EN need to be connected with a pull-up or pull-down resistor?

EN can't be left floating, right? Thanks.

Charlie,

No need for a pull-up or pull-down resistor, although it is common practice to include a resistor between the DAC output and the EN input. EN cannot be left floating.

I have understood the usage of EN pin. But I still want to know the internal structure of the EN pin, whether there is a pull-up or pull-down resistor inside EN.

Hi Charlie,

You can treat it like a Schmitt trigger. If there was an internal pull-up or -down resistor, the datasheet would mention it. Furthermore, it wouldn't say that it cannot be left floating if there was a pull-up or -down resistor.
