TPS2660: TPS26600 schematic review

Part Number: TPS2660

Hi Team,

My customer used the TPS26600 for a 24V/10W power supply, and the schematic is as follows.

Please help to confirm whether the schematic can meet the customer's specifications, and suggest which pin can add NTC for the OTP function. thanks.

  • Hi Rock,

Thanks for reaching out. Can you share schematic that shows component values also? That will help in better review.

    Regards

  • Hi Kunal,

I will ask the customer to provide the component values.
But may I confirm the SHDN can for the OTP function If I use the PTC or NTC to reach the threshold voltage? thank.

  • Hi Rock,

No need of PTC. This device has a built-in over temperature protection called as thermal shutdown.

The customer needs the OTP function for the latch mode in the ambient <75%. so we need the external circuit to make sure the function.

So please help to check if the used SHDN can meet this function, thanks.

  • Hi Rock,

    1. Schematic looks fine. But one thing UVLO pin should also be connected through a resistor to VIN pin.

    2. If they need latch mode they can use below configuration :

    3.  Yes SHDN can be used to turn off device.
