UCC5870-Q1: question about Rpui and Rpdi

Part Number: UCC5870-Q1

hi experts

i have two questions about Rpui and Rpdi.

Q1: do the parameter of Rpui and Rpdi mean the internal resistor in UCC5870?

Q2: whether can some configurations for UCC5870 registers affect these parameters real value?

some engineers find that the falling time of IN+ (from MCU) show different value in different configurations for UCC5870 registers.

  • Hi Jay,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Q1: do the parameter of Rpui and Rpdi mean the internal resistor in UCC5870?

Yes, these are internal pull up and pulldown resistances on the input pins.

Q2: whether can some configurations for UCC5870 registers affect these parameters real value?

The pull up resistance may very from device to device, or across temperature, but there are not settings to change the pullup/pulldown values.

Could you ask for more specifics on this difference in IN+ falling time that the customer is seeing? Which registers have changed? Do they have waveforms and schematic to share?

    Regards,

    Daniel

  • thanks for your answer.

i will ask customer to get more detailed info. than if get, I will send to you by e-mail
