Hi Team:

My customer want to use BQ34Z100 with LiFePO4. As I see ,the spec said it support LiFePO4，but i didn`t see too much reference test data for it.

So would you help to share some test data with LiFePO4 to show the accuracy? It may help to convince their end customer to use this BQ series.

While there are some challenges due to flatness of the curve, all batteries use the same principle. Using the GPCCHEM tool will provide a report indicating if the level of error is acceptable or not.

Currently i just got different guide for matching with LFP, but do we have some existing data show the accuracy ? That may help to primary evaluaion.

Hello Allen,

The GPCCHEM tool uses the existing data to report whether the accuracy will be acceptable or not. Once it reports that the match error is acceptable, then further accuracy can be obtained by tweaking Data memory parameters and the other GPC tools.

Does it means we need to use the LFP on our side to test the real data and then it can report the accuracy acceptable or not?

And accuracy report we test before does not have a certain reference value?

Hello Allen,

The tests have to be performed with specific chemistry IDs. Therefore accuracy cannot be predicted without knowing the best chemistry match for the battery.

So i think there must be a reference test result on our internal side when we design this device. And we also have a chemistry ID to match. So does these data can be shared?

Hello Allen,

The test reports and data are internal to TI. TI shares the accuracy report via the GPCCHEM and other GPC tools based on the log files provided by user.
