TPS65987D: Upgrade firmware version from FWF707.10.00

Hello,

I checked the Device Info register and got: /TPS65988 HW0030 FWF707.10.00 ZAce1

I could see that when I look on the forum, you mention a firmware called FWF707.10.10. I can see in the GUI that it says TPS65987_88_F707_10_10.bin, but even after patching i still get the 707.10.000 version.

Is the chip upgradable through saving a binary form the gui or do me need to get newer parts?

Hi Christoffer,

Are you using the TPS65987DH PD controller and the 6.1.3 GUI?

If you are, you should be fine. We have the same register information that you are seeing.

It sounds like you already checked, but the most important thing to check is that the Firmware Base Image has the correct file.

Okay, great. I don't have acces to the BOM at the moment but the package says TPS65987D DH. Which I guess is correct then, when i check in the upper right corner it list TPS65987DDH under Configuration File Supported Device.

Yeah, you can use the label on the package. If your setup matches the previous response, you should have the latest firmware.
