If you are doing a Power source only charger application, you can use the DFP only project that is generated with the 6.1.3 App config Gui found on the ti.com page for the TPS65987.
To access the project: Project->New Project->TPS65987DDH->Advanced->DFP Only
From here, the main thing you will want to change are the possible power contracts supplied. This is where you configure the Source PDOs and can set voltage and max current.
Because you are copying the EVM design, you will most likely only want to change the Max Current to adjust the output power to 65W.
