Would you please to recommend, which charger IC I can use in order to charge the battery pack built with BQ78PL116 gas gauge chip?
I do not want to use any microcontrollers, so the best is direct communication via SMB Bus.

The BQ78PL116 does not support broadcasting - i.e. I can not use the SMbus charger IC that you propose.
The exact reasson why I am asking - do you estimate any problems with Stand Alone chargers - in this case nobody reads the BQ78LP116 requirements of Charge Voltage and Charge Current... How the staff works in such case?
The stand alone IC doesn't need SMbus to set the charge voltage; charge current.... For example: bq246xx: ISET1 sets the fast charger current; ISET2 sets the pre-charge current and termination current; VLOWV sets the pre-charge voltage threshold; TTC sets the safety timer; VFB resistor divider sets the charge voltage; ACSET sets the input current limit. STAT pins and PG pin report the charging status.
