Good day,

The datasheet describes EP as having no internal electrical connection, but since it is connected to the chip with Ag paste.
Is it correct that EP is connected to GND

Exposed pad of the package. No internal electrical connections. Should be soldered to the large ground plane to reduce thermal resistance.

Hi,

thank you for using the E2E forum.

As the datasheet says the EP pad is internally not connected and should be connected to a large ground plane.

This is to give a low resistive path for thermal and also to connect the EP pad to GND to avoid disturbances get injected to the EP pad and the on top of it mounted die.

So EP pad needs to be connected to GND on the PCB.
