TPS25810: Sharing Input Capacitance with DC/DC Converter

Hello,

We have a 5V DC/DC converter very close to the TPS25810 device. The TPS25810 recommends 120uF capacitor on its input pins.

Does this capacitor include the output capacitance of the 5V regulator that feeds IN1?

Or does TPS25810 require 120uF of capacitance in addition to the output capacitance of the 5V regulator?

Hi Keith,

The required minimum bypass capacitance is 120uF placed close to the IN pins of the TPS25810 device. This requirement does not include the output capacitance of 5V DC/DC regulator as the capacitance requirement for each DCDC can vary. How much output capacitance is attached to the 5V DCDC?

100uF of ceramic on the LM60440DRPKR DC/DC itself.
