BQ76942EVM: Why resistor is added at drain of p mosfet?

Hello,

Sending part of schematic, let mw know why R39 is required on BQ76942EVM. FBAT is 12V and Pin 3 of Q6 is connected to Pack+.

    Hello Anant,

    R39 controls how much current flows through the FET when Q5 is ON. R39 is used to limit the pre-charge current.

    Pin 3 in Q6 represents the drain of the P-Channel FET. Here current will flow from source to drain; hence, the pre discharge FET can be used to reduce inrush current when the load is initially powered.
