Our costumer is requiring a simple 2x AA type nimh cell charger to be integrated in their product.
As this product will be operated by general public, it is possible that some users may place the device in charge with alkaline batteries instead rechargeable ones and want to avoid that condition.
Does TI has available any device with this capability? Filtering charge ICs there are various options suitable for charging two cells but no mention to chemistry detection only battery presence.
During research I found device DS2712 that is capable of this detection, but has a higher cost.
