I had allredy seen the evaluation board, but this also has only USB communication probability between a Host/PD Charger and the TPS25750D.
But how can I achieve communication between a host and an MCU in the same device, in case a host is connected instead of a PD charger?

Hi Jeff,

i am new in developing devices using USB, so maybe I am wrong, but I think i can use USB2.0 over USB C ports. So I need the D+/D- for the BQ25792 when charging and at the MCu when not charging but communicating with a host.

Are there any TI application notes or examples for this kind of topology? 

I guess we won't be the only ones with such requirements, are we?

Hi Martin,

The D+/D- lines automatically turn on when a voltage above UVLO is sensed on VBUS and then try to communicate with USB2.0/3.0 ports and many other HVDC adapters for up to 2 seconds.  After they read the port/adapter's output current capability, the charger input current limit is set and D+/D- pins go high impedance for other communication on the lines.  The host software can force another read or changes the output voltage on the D+/D- pins to perform other communication as explained in the app note https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/slua786.
