We are using the bq25601 IC in our design to control charging and discharging of 4.2V battery. Battery charging control is happening in the IC. If TS voltage exceeds the T1-T5 (0 - 60 deg C) range, the controller suspends charging and waits until the battery temperature is within the T1 to T5 range. At the same time battery discharging control not present by default in the battery charger IC. It is possible to disable the discharging by writing BATFET_DIS of REG07 into 1. I can read the temperature range by reading the register REG09. but not the exact temperature value.
So below are my queries:
1) Is there a way to enable the discharging control with respect to temperature?
2) Is it possible to get the exact temperature value by reading the register?
Our actual requirement is
The battery should not charge unless the temperature is 0 to 45 degree Celcius when input is connected.
