Hello,

My customer is looking for a TI power solution to replace the IR3475 and IR3473 respectively.

They are looking at the TPS56C231 or TPSM8A28 as a replacement for the IR3475. And considering the TPSM82816 as a replacement for the IR3473.

Can you recommend suitable alternatives for each product?

You are mentioning several devices.

Each device has a different support person.

I support the TPSM8A28.

The TI cross reference tool can used to find equivalent devices

The recommendations returned are TPS543620, TPS543820 and TPS54824 for the IR3473.

The cross for IR3475 is TPS56637.

You ask about TPSM82816. It is a power module that has an integrated inductor.

If you can deduce the needed input voltage range, output voltage and output current from the schematics

The IR3473 is a 3V to 27V input 6A converter that uses an external inductor. The TPSM82816 is an 2.7 to 6V input 6A power module.

More information is needed on whether this would be a suitable replacement.

hello.

I understand that the circuit diagram has already been shared by Mr. Shin.

- Required design conditions are as follows.
Part 1. Voltage input: 4~6V, voltage output: 0.8V~3.5V, current: 5A
Part 2. Voltage input: 4~6V, voltage output: 0.8V~3.5V, current: 10A

You just need to satisfy the above conditions.

Due to the narrow design space, the TPSM82816 and TPSM8A28 were searched for parts with built-in inductors (the space occupied by the parts is small while replacing the attached circuit).

I wonder if it is possible to replace IR3473 with TPSM82816 and IR3475 with TPSM8A28.

The TPSM8A28 is uses a COT control similar to the IR3473 and IR3475 and

operates over the input voltage range of 4 to 6V and has switching

frequency options of 600kHz, 800kHz and 1000kHz.

the TPSM8A28 would be suitable power module for both IR3473 and IR3475.

I will need another apps engineer comment on TPSM82816.

Hi YJ,

Yes TPSM82816 supports 4-6Vin and 6A load. If you can reduce the maximum Vin to 5.5V, then TPSM82866A offers a smaller solution size and higher efficiency.
